On a sizzling Florida summer morning, the Purple Dragons offense broke out with 14 hits against the Viera Athletics, as the team picked up their second win of the season.

Several Dragons had notable days at the plate. Matthew Katona was 1-1 with 2 BB, 1 R, 3 RBI, 1 SB, and a sacrifice fly atop the lineup. Tyler Krause had a big day, going 3-4 with 2 R and 1 RBI. Kevin Ranson led the hit parade, going 4-4 with 2 R, 1 RBI, and 2 SB.

Wes Sanders earned the win, coming in in the 4th inning and settling down after a rocky 4th to hold the A's at six runs. He also helped on the offensive side, contributing a 2-run triple in the 4th.

Next up, the Purple Dragons continue their suspended game against the Melbourne Beach Orioles this Tuesday (7/22). As the game currently stands, the Dragons lead 3-1 in the 4th inning.
