With the Space Coast Sharks winning the BCBL championship over the Melbourne Beach Orioles, the summer Stan Musial season finally sees its end.

On Wednesday, Dragons MVP Matthew Katona, Kevin Ranson, and Wes Sanders were selected to the Stan Musial All-Star Team. Ranson and Katona have been selected with this honor twice in the last three years. This is Sanders' first selection.

Playing in all 15 games this summer, Katona led the team in runs (10), RBI (9), walks (21), stolen bases (11), on-base percentage (.554), and on-base plus slugging (.907). He reached base a total of 31 times, shattering the previous team record of 23.

Ranson had another great season, posting a team leading .303 batting average and .364 slugging percentage, and tied with Katona for second on the team with 10 hits.

Sanders had a solid season at the plate, putting up a .289 average while leading the team with 11 hits, and finished second in stolen bases (6) and RBI (6). He also came up big on the mound, pitching to a 2-0 record with two saves and a 3.27 ERA over 22 IP. Eric Cramer joins manager Mike Fears of the Melbourne Beach Orioles in coaching the 2014 Stan Musial All-Star Team.

The BCBL All-Star Game will be played at Holman Stadium in Vero Beach this Saturday, September 13 at 11:00 am. Come out and support your heroes and friends!!
